Well, here's your chance, because it's the grand prize in this contest.
As it is a physical object, the winner will need to be okay with giving out a mailing address.

Now, because literature is woefully under-appreciated, this is going to be a writing contest. Yes, you heard me, writing.

What I want to see is a story with that dreamcatcher in it. I don't care what genre you go for or how long or short the story is, but the dreamcatcher must be present in the story somewhere, somehow; anything from a brief mention to the crux of the entire plot. Random piece of art on the wall? Ancient artifact of... something? Magic tool? Futuristic power source? Ancient power source? Just some flashy bling? Whatever you want, you guys.

Entries will be judged on creativity/originality and technical execution (spelling, grammar, that sort of thing).

The deadline is June 13^th. Why June 13^th? I felt like it, and I like the number 13. Date is subject to change if there aren't enough entries. I want a good turnout for this; I poured I don't even know how many hours of my life into that dreamcatcher and it should go to a good home.

RULES
English only. I need a language all my judges understand.
Must be prose.
Must be new work made for this contest and uploaded to dA's Literature gallery. Also must be your own work. Duh.
Mature content is allowed, but it should go without saying that it can't violate any of dA's rules.
The dreamcatcher (the one pictured at the top of this Journal) MUST clearly feature in the story somewhere.
There is no word limit, but please don't submit a full novel. My judges and I can't be taking two days to read your entry. On the opposite end of the scale, do try for at least a paragraph or two.
NOTE ME (not the other judges, me) with a link to your entry so I can add it to the contest folder. Simply posting a link in a comment or Noting a different member of the judging panel means your entry might get missed. Title the Note "Dreamcatcher Contest Entry" or something to that effect so I know what it is.
You can enter several times, but can only win once.
Don't be a dick. Friendly ribbing of fellow participants is okay. Straight-up harassment is not, and will get your stupid ass disqualified. Likewise, abuse toward my judges will not be tolerated. Play nice.

Q: Can judges enter?
A: Judges are not eligible to win anything, though they may certainly still write stuff if they wish to do so.

Q: Is this limited to people who live in Norway?
A: Nope! This is open to anyone and everyone on dA. I'll ship that dreamcatcher to wherever on the planet the winner lives. ...Uh, so I guess you're out of luck if you live on the Moon or something.
