Commissions

All prices listed are in CAD (Canadian dollars). There's a nifty currency conversion calculator over on xe.com if you need to do some quick figuring of what that translates to in your local currency.

Shipping & Handling is not included in the prices and will vary depending on what and where things are being shipped. Average will probably be $5 or $6.

All pieces will be one-of-a-kinds. I will not do duplicates unless one person requests a matching set of something, and even then chances are good that no two things will be the same. In situations like two different people commissioning a dragon in the same colours, I will change small details (length of tail, style of horns, number of dorsal spines, that sort of thing) so each is unique.

Paper Snowflake: $5 - $10

e.g. [link]
Depends on complexity. Something like [link] or [link] would be $5, while something like [link] or [link] would be $10. Have a look through the rest of my snowflakes to get an idea of what I'm capable of.

All snowflakes made out of white paper unless requested otherwise. Keep in mind that most coloured stuff is of the construction paper variety. It is thicker and thus limits the amount of detail I can get out of it. Six sections is preferred, though I can also do eight. The number of folds required to get five, seven, nine etc. makes it too thick to cut through with any amount of detail.

Information I Need
-colour, if something other than white
-number of sections (four, six or eight)
-what you want cut. Either supply an image* or tell me and I'll draw it

*For images you supply: Lineart and stuff must be something you drew or something you have permission to use. I reserve the right to modify it to make it work as a snowflake. No itty bitty details under 1mm please. That's the smallest I can cut without worrying about destroying it.

Small Beaded Dragon: $15

e.g. [link] [link]

Information I Need:
-Eye colour
-Body colour
-Wing membrane colour
-Foot colour
-Tail-tip colour
-Claws yes/no
-Spines yes/no
-Horns yes/no
-Anything else you want to add

Claws, horns and spines are currently limited to white because I can't find the tiny beads I need in any other colours. Feather-style wings are also out for the same reason.

Sea Serpent: $100

e.g. [link]

Information I Need:
-Eye colour
-Body colour
-Belly colour
-Fin colour
-Dorsal spines yes/no
-Mouth open/closed
-Length
-Anything else you want to add

Bead Jewellery: $20+
e.g. [link] [link]
Price depends on size and number of pieces (just necklace, necklace and earrings, bracelet and earrings...). Will probably involve a bit of back-and-forth messaging so I can figure out exactly what you are looking for.

Information I Need
-Which piece(s) (necklace, bracelet, earrings, full set, etc.)
-Lengths of necklaces/bracelets
-Colours
-As clear a description of what you want it to look like as possible (concept sketches are useful)

Beaded Doily-type Thing: $100 - $200+ (Tiny ones can be done for $20-$30.)

e.g. [link] [link]
Price depends on size and complexity. They don't have to be circular either; I can do other crazy shapes. Bugle beads don't cope well with heavy things being placed on them. They break. Seed beads can take a bit more abuse, but all the same the suggested use is purely decorative.

Information I Need:
-Colours
-Shape
-Size
-Anything else

Concept sketches are useful here too.

Dreamcatcher: $100 - $200+

e.g. [link]
Again, price depends on size and complexity. A small, simple one (like [link]) will be at the lower end while the larger, more intricate ones (like [link]) will be at the higher end, and a really big, intricate one (like [link]) will be much more.

Information I Need:

For metal ring frame:
-Ring diameter (12cm, 15cm or 20cm. I will sometimes have 35cm hoops. Note me for availability.)
-Frame wrapping colour
-Weaving thread colour
-Weaving style (beads/no beads/'spirograph' weave)
-Bead colour (if using beads in the weaving)
-Central pendant (Yes/no and what)
-Lower pendants (Yes/no and what: Feathers? Beads? Other trinkets?)
-Anything else

For wooden frame:
-Number of sides
-Approximate diameter
-Weaving thread colour
-Weaving style (beads/no beads)
-Bead colour (if using beads in the weaving)
-Central pendant (Yes/no and what)
-Lower pendants (Feathers? Beads? Other trinkets?)
-Anything else

Forms of Payment: I do not have a PayPal account yet, but will set one up once people commission stuff, if they prefer to pay that way. I can also accept Interac e-mail transfers, cheques, or direct-to-account transfers (don't know how popular that is outside of Norway/Scandinavia though), or cash if you live near me. Paying via dA subscription 'donation' works too.

Send me a Note or an e-mail at chimeradragonfang@gmail.com if you want to commission any - or all - of the above.

When I have more money I will commission a snowflake or two...and maybe a dragon if my yard sale goes well.

Need to get a few more checks under the belt before I can order them. I told my husband how much you wanted for the snow flakes BTW and he's mad at you for not charging more.

But you have to think of how many people would be willing to pay 15-20+ dollars for a paper snowflake, even if I do spend over five hours on the thing. Probably wouldn't get many commissions.

Why yes, I do offer commissions

I still think you should try for more - that's too much labor.

I don't know if this is possible but is it possible for you to make a paper snow flake that is Fritz [link] inspired. Like the head sillohette repeated or something.
It'd be for my dad for christmas. I'll put the photo/scan of the snowflake in a calendar with 11 other Fritz artworks. Probable frame/matt the actual snowflake.

If you can do that I may order another aswell. One featuring feathers or wings.

Wow... I've done some bead work, simple stuff mostly, and I'm amazed you aren't charging more. I'm drooling over the possibility of commissioning my own own dragon/sea serpent. I've tried making beaded dragons in the past but mine were... much less impressive. Have you tried making larger beaded dragons? Something closer to the sea serpent in size but more like the small beaded dragons in style? I'm thinking it would be possible to get a lot of awesome details into the wings and face. I love purple and I'm open to any colors that would look nice for details and patterns and such. I was thinking silver would be nice for the claws, if you have that color. I was just thinking... that would be awesome. And with some wire or strings for support I could have it flying over my bed from the ceiling. ^_^ Is this a possibility and would the pricing be similar to the sea serpent? Oh, and btw, I prefer Paypal.

I've never made dragons much larger than the one my dragon tutorial shows. Those I make for commissions are more 'chunky' because I make two or three layers for the body, and the feet stick out underneath so they stand. If you do want one a lot larger than that, it'll cost considerably more ('round maybe $75) and will probably not be done for over a month. I'd have to do a lot of experimenting to get it all working right, and the messing up and undoing and redoing will consume a lot of time (and I'm working fulltime too). I can definitely do it though, if you decide you do want a larger one. Or I can just do a 'normal' one using larger beads. Can't currently offer silver claws/spikes/horns on the standard-sized right now. I only have a bunch of different shades of white in the really tiny size I need.

It'll be better to send me any other questions and stuff about commissioning things via Note so I don't have to go digging through a pile of comments to find it all.
