Description

This here's more or less what the Lroaccani species in general, and Ackquasis in particular, looks like. This drawing is super old -- we're talking 2003 -- and no longer entirely accurate to the species' appearance. The weird heel claws have been axed from the creature design, the dorsal fins aren't in quite the right places, and the tail fin should be larger. Also his horns are black with a faint purple sheen, not that bright lavender there.

Quasi's character profile is here.
Lroaccani species profile is here (They are a closed species. No touchie!)

Ah - this one is PERFECT for today's Critmas challenge 'Ghost of the Christmas Past'! I hope you don't mind me grappling this one, ha. I have plenty nice things to say, though!

For starters, it's an ingenious design - gotta love that scales-and-fur-combo; I've seen it in Kirin first, been a fan ever since. I especially like the pretty peacock colours, and the tail fin!
Overall, this one looks like it comes straight out of a medieval grimoire on beasts of legend, or obscure heraldic animals. I think there's a name for heraldic creatures looking at the viewer head on like this.
There's but one thing that's not quite clear to me, and that's the grouped dots on its fur. At first I figured these had to be leopard flecks of some kind, but with the scales it's possible these are patches of hardened skin or scales showing through, like on an iguana. Its also a bit odd that he has a tuft of hair on its head where I expected a crest matching its fins.
He's still a cool beasty, regardless, and hopefully not the violent kind because I kind of think he's cute.

That's all I've got for you; have a nice day and an even better 2019 from myself and Team Tannenbaum Trebuchet!
